Ashenspire stand at the forefront of avant-garde black metal. Originating from Glasgow, they combine traditional black metal with free-jazz chaos, noise textures and spoken-word intensity. Lyrically, the band is openly political, addressing classism, imperialism, nationalism and systemic oppression. Albums like Hostile Architecture cemented their reputation as one of the most uncompromising and intellectually driven acts in extreme music today.

Machukha, hailing from Ukraine, channel doom and sludge through the lens of Eastern European folk heritage. Their sound is slow, oppressive and ritualistic, reflecting loss, endurance and collective memory. Machukha’s music carries real emotional and cultural weight — not posturing, but lived experience.
